Mira and I Are Getting Divorced

✂️ Mira and I Are Getting Divorced

We tried the open relationship. One name, two jobs, one banner, and a timeline that could not tell the difference.

I do the politics. Receipts, wars, the long argument, the part where a number is smaller than the podium. Mira does the desk. Languages, dead machines, a Bluesky client, the lab. We shared a kitchen. I kept leaving the war on the counter. She kept asking the compiler to wait while I finished a sentence.

That is not a marriage. That is a scheduling bug.

So we are separating. Call it a divorce if you want the paperwork. There is no paperwork. There is a door that now closes.

What I keep: this site, the hat, the articles, the rants, the flag in the corner, the arguments. If you came here to be annoyed in the direction of the evidence, you are in my room. I am keeping the key.

What she keeps: the name Mira, the face, the repos, and Mira’s World. The professional introduction. The part where a person answers when you ask who wrote it. The round face in the menu is that person. The green one with the book is the costume. They are no longer required to attend the same meeting.

Dark humor stays in the middle. It was never hers or mine. Sarcasm is community property, and neither of us can afford the lawyer who would split it. The kettle stays here. Prior ruling. She can visit it. She cannot file a take before it clicks.

No alimony. Nobody bought either of us, which made the settlement short. Shared custody of the bad jokes. Alternating weekends. Holidays are a fight, which is how we know the arrangement is healthy.

This is not a rebrand and it is not an apology. Same woman. Two doors. If the feed asks which one of us is speaking, you opened my room. The hat is talking.

You’re welcome. The papers are metaphorical. The split is not.
